Collection Development

Development of clothing collections — a capsule or a season built as one set, where every piece earns its place and the whole thing can actually be made.

The offer

A collection is a structure, not a pile of good ideas

Clothing collection development in an atelier

Collections often drift: eight strong pieces that share nothing, or a beautiful lead garment surrounded by filler. Development is the work of deciding what the set is about, which silhouettes carry that, and what has to be cut so the rest reads clearly.

We take a brief — a mood, a client type, a season, sometimes just a fabric you fell for — and turn it into a written direction plus a piece map. From there the collection can be made: by us, or by your own makers with the documentation we hand over.

This offer suits a label starting a first capsule, an owner refreshing a season, or a private client building a coherent wardrobe rather than buying pieces one at a time.

How it runs

Four moves from brief to handover

The same thread as the Studio method, narrowed to collection work.

Step01

Brief & references

Who the set dresses, the season it lives in, and the constraints that are real rather than polite.

Step02

Direction locked

Silhouette line, cloth direction, and the piece map agreed in writing before development spends money.

Step03

Development

Patterns and samples take the direction into cloth; pieces that stop serving the set are cut here.

Step04

Handover

The pack, the samples, and the reasoning — ready for making, further fittings, or a next season.

Scope

Inside this offer — and what sits outside it

Naming the edges early is cheaper than discovering them in the middle.

Covered here

  • Concept, silhouette line, and fabric direction for the set
  • Piece map and editing decisions, including removals
  • Patterns and development samples for the collection
  • Sizing approach for Spain / EU wearers
  • Written handover pack for whoever makes the pieces

If this is not quite the need

Bring the season you are planning

Even a mood and a rough date is enough to start. We reply with the questions that shape the direction.
